He enjoys the water, peace, and tranquility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">That\u2019s exactly what Jeff Fuqua, an Atlanta developer took note of. He\u2019s got big plans for Jacksonville\u2019s Northbank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\"><i><b>STORY: <\/b><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/news\/local\/jacksonville-us-postal-service-employee-arrested\/OLRFFNCFMRG4RG43L63D22A7DY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>Jacksonville U.S. Postal Service employee arrested for stealing greeting card<\/b><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">After tearing down the Times Union building, Fuqua\u2019s team plans to create One Riverside Avenue, where people will live, shop, and dine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">The Downtown Investment Authority has approved the $182 million project. It would revamp the area of the former Times Union building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">\u201dAs long as it\u2019s good for the community I feel like it\u2019s a plus,\u201d Greene said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">He\u2019s on board with the idea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">The dining part of One Riverside Avenue will include a riverside restaurant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">Fuqua has taken on some big projects in the past. A notable one is Atlanta\u2019s Battery at Truist Park, which is connected to the new Braves stadium, drawing in tens of thousands of fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">DIA board members gave Fuqua the green light in a meeting Thursday, approving over $31 million in incentives for the project, with the City of Jacksonville investing 17 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\"><i><b>STORY:<\/b><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/news\/local\/recognize-these-men-police-say-theyre-behind-string-trailer-thefts-duval-co\/MLX52JS2CZBPXKLXQRBB7ECW5E\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b> Recognize these men? Police say they\u2019re behind a string of trailer thefts in Duval County<\/b><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">\u201dI like this little part here,\u201d Greene said, pointing to the riverfront, suggesting, \u201cIf they could open it up to the water just a little bit more, I\u2019d like to see that \u2013 a place in a city where you can get peace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-xb1qmn-0 direoF body-paragraph\">\u201dThe plan also includes revamping McCoy\u2019s Creek.
